Biography
Rodney Kevin Spears, also known as 2B aka Seraphim Black, is a passionate Writer, Artist, Teacher and Servant of God. Born in the South Bronx, New York City, in 1965, Rodney grew up as the eldest of five children in a single-parent household. His journey has been marked by both profound struggles and inspiring triumphs, all of which have shaped his unique perspective on life, faith, and purpose.

Rodney’s early life in the birthplace of hip-hop gave him a deep appreciation for the power of words and their ability to educate, inspire, and unite people. As one of the forefathers of rap, he has always viewed the art form as a means to bring light to dark places and to share knowledge and truth with the world.
Though his path led him through seasons of hardship, including, Crime, Addiction and personal loss, his unwavering faith in God has been his anchor, guiding him to live with purpose and integrity.

Rodney is a visionary who seeks to uplift and inspire others through his ministry, Imago Dei, and his creative projects. Whether writing music, books, or action-packed urban dramas, his mission remains consistent: to encourage others to know God, embrace their God-given identity, and live a life of love and purpose.

Now residing in Florida with his wife, Stacey, Rodney dreams of building a legacy for his family and community on their five-acre property while continuing to grow his ministry. His work is deeply rooted in biblical truth, blending creativity, authenticity, and a heart for serving others. Rodney believes that every person has a God-ordained purpose and is passionate about helping others discover and walk in theirs.
